Veruca Salt reunite with original lineup to release new material for Record Store Day

After some 14 years apart Chicago's Veruca Salt have reunited their original lineup and will be releasing a new 10" vinyl single in honour of record Store Day.

Nina Gordon, Louise Post, Steve Lack and Jim Shapiro will release a record that boasts two all new songs 'The Museum of Broken Relationships' and 'It's Holy' as well as their best known hit from the '90s 'Seether'.

During their original run as alt rock darlings the band released two hit LPS 1994's American Thighs and 1997's Eight Arms to Hold You. The band gradually fell apart after Nina Gordon left in 1998 to pursue a solo career.

Some fans had been expecting news of the reunion as a few months ago a post on the band's Facebook page read; "for now let's just say this: hatchets buried, axes exhumed."
