The Foo Fighters pay tribute to Kurt Cobain and post what may be a Hall of Fame tease

On April 5, the acknowledged anniversary of Kurt Cobain's death (no one will ever be sure exactly when he died) as anyone would have expected, there were a a slew of tributes posted to the Nirvana frontman from people all over the world, and many even from people who were not born in April 1994 and whose knowledge of Nirvana, and Cobain, comes only from the records and videos that are their legacy.

One of the most notable of the tributes though came from Foo Fighters, which of course is the current day job (or one of them anyway) for former Nirvana members Dave Grohl and Pat Smear. On their official Facebook page the band posted a photo of Cobain along with a stream of The Beatles “In My Life”, a song that as one of Kurt's favourites was played at his funeral.

Later this week of course Nirvana will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and there is still much speculation about whether or not there will be a Nirvana performance. Another post on th Foos Facebook page from just a few hours ago has many people now convinced that there will be, and that it will be pretty damn good...

What is for sure is that Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselicwill be guesting on Jimmy Fallon's Tonight Show on Wednesday evening. Not to be outdone, fellow new Hall of Famers KISS will appear on Friday night's show, following Thursday's induction ceremony.
