The Cure announce new studio album and much more

Being in his mid fifties does not mean that Robert Smith is ready to slow things down or put away the red lippie just yet as The Cure have just announced some big plans for 2014.

In the course of a single press release the band announced the upcoming release of a new studio album, a live DVD and another round of 'Trilogy' live shows.

The studio album is tentatively titled 4:14 Scream and was apparently recorded alongside 2008's 4:13 Dream. Not too much about the live DVD but the live shows should follow the same format as the last time, with former band members returning to help play a run through of three of the goth godfathers best LPs; Pornography (1982), Disintegration (1989) and Bloodflowers (2000)
