The Cat Empire announce nationwide tour dates

Earlier this year The Cat Empire celebrated a landmark 1000th show by playing a free show in Melbourne's Federation Square. Now the Melburnians have announced the dates and supports for this year's now annual nationwide pilgrimage.

Bringing with them a stage show that promises to be filled with more action - and more instruments - than ever before the ska and jazz band will kick off their tour in Perth at the end of September following a string of European festival appearances.

Joining them for this year's event will be 9-piece Latin Reggae outfit Madre Monte and beatboxing genius Tom Thum

Tickets for all shows go onsale on June 16
