NIN's Trent Reznor promises ' a more aggressive show' for Aussie tour

The long awaited co headlining Nine Inch Nails and Queens of the Stone Age tour is now just weeks away and appearing on triple j Trent Reznor has promised that it is going to be something pretty damn special.

Speaking on the Matt and Alex show, he explained his own excitement at the prospect and what he has in store for fans; "We've been looking forward to playing Australia since we got the band back together, and the fact that our schedules lined up and they were into it, and we have a chance to play with our friends Queens Of The Stone Age, it's a no brainer, we're super excited to do it. We're down to a four piece band; we're playing different music that we haven't played in a while. It's got a different feel now. It's a more aggressive show".

No two shows will be the same either he says. In the interests of fairness NIN and QOTSA will flip a coin every night to decide who 'headlines' and then the sets will be adjusted accordingly;
"To keep it fresh every night, it's going to be a pretty radically different set. It feels much less rehearsed. I want to make sure that I always stay in a state of feeling a little uncomfortable and a little unsure - so it pushes me to try something new and not rest on laurels and feel too comfortable. "

By the way, remember the Grammy's fiasco when Trent, Josh Homme, Dave Grohl and Lindsey Buckingham were so rudely interrupted by the closing credits? This is the unedited rehearsal footage of what should have been:
