Music Victoria Awards Reveals 2019 Nominees




Yesterday the nominees for the Music Victoria Awards were announced. This will be the 15th year of the awards. I did a live stream of the announcement via Facebook.

Topping the list with five nominations are Tropical Fuck Storm, Sampa The Great, The Teskey Brothers and Gordon Koang. My heart skipped a beat because one of my favourite bands, Amyl & The Sniffers received four nominations.

Music Victoria Hall of Fame inductees this year are the much loved Vika and Linda Bull and also PBS 106.7FM Melbourne who this December will be celebrating their 40th Anniversary.

Paddy Donovan, the executive producer of the awards said, "Music Victoria recognises the deep contributions both PBS 106.7FM and Vika and Linda Bull have made to the fabric of Victorian music and culture and is proud to present them both as inductees to the Music Victoria Awards Hall of Fame in 2019."

Performing artists to be announced and limited tickets will be on sale on Monday the 21st of October.
$50 General Admission or $20 for Music Victoria members
