Macklemore, Daft Punk and Flume top Spotify most streamed lists

Spotify have released their annual lists of the most streamed artists and music this year and globally Macklemore & Ryan Lewis won out, although here in Oz Daft Punk beat them by a narrow margin in most categories.

Down Under Daft Punk ruled in both the Most streamed tracks of 2013 and Most streamed artist of 2013 categories ahead of the Seattle twosome. However it was local product Flume who had the Most streamed album and Lorde was named Most viral new artist.

In terms of female vocalists Rihanna won out over Lana Del Rey globally and no separate list for Oz was released. The male category went to Macklemore. and although Miley Cyrus made the female top ten bratty Justin Bieber appeared nowhere, so he may want to start being a bit nicer to his audiences.
