Lorde adds Sydney date to tour, is targeted by Westboro Baptist Church

Lorde is still proving she is more than capable of headlining her own tour as it has been announced that a second show for Sydney has been added after the first date sold out.

The new show is scheduled for the Hordern Pavilion on May 3. Tickets go onsale today via premier.ticketek.com.au/.

In other Lorde news the 17 year old has found herself the target of the loonies of the Westboro Baptist Church in the US, a group that are showing no signs of slowing down with their hate filled 'protests' despite the fact that their founder, Fred Phelps, just died. Not only do they plan to picket Lorde's concerts in the Midwestern US but they also recorded a 'parody' version of Royals that they seem very amused with. Just what Lorde has done to offend these complete nutters is not even clear, a kid who doesn't drink, smoke who sings a song that mocks excess?

According to Billboard "New Zealand came forth with a young lassie that doesn't have enough sense to put in a thimble," the WBC said in a statement "Now the world has elevated her to the status of an idol. Then the world began to weigh in." Huh?

You can listen to the rather pathetic parody below.
