Lloyd Cole announces Australian tour dates




Lloyd Cole has been coming to Australia to entertain since way back in 1986 while the frontman for Lloyd Cole and the Commotions. The last time he was here was in 2011 but since then he has made one of his best albums in years Standards and is now headed back Down Under for the most extensive Australian tour he has ever played.

Cole has said his laterst album was inspire by Bob Dylan's Tempest; "I took it as a kick up the backside. I’d been languishing. Some years I wouldn’t even write a song. But when I heard that record, I thought, Damn! I’ve got all these notebooks full of ideas. What would happen if I just worked on them bloody hard and made a record?” so he did, and the results of that effort will be released on May 9.
