Listen: The Flaming Lips 'Flaming Side of the Moon'

We promise this is not an April Fools; The Flaming Lips have debuted a 'companion' album for Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon, Flaming Side of the Moon.

The album, which you can stream below is, according to a press release, designed to be listened to simultaneously with the original classic, with the additional advice that “For ideal listening conditions, fans are encouraged to seek out the original Alan Parsons’ engineered quadraphonic LP mix of Dark Side, but it will work with the album on any format.”

The Lips' album is in itself a follow up to their 2009 cover LP of the Pink Floyd original. Both albums by the way are also said to sync up exactly to the Judy Garland classic 'The Wizard of Oz', should you want to go for the full trippy experience.
