La Roux Debuts Four New Songs Ahead Of Coachella

La Roux fans rejoice, some new material is finally here! Last night at Concorde2 in Brighton, UK, the electro pop duo performed live for the first time in two years, and also debuted not one, not two, but FOUR never before heard songs.

Led by the edgy Elly Jackson, the pair opened with a track called ‘Uptight Downtown’ followed by ‘Sexoteque’ and “Kiss & Not Tell’, before Jackson took to the bass herself during the instrumental of “Tropical Chancer’. Following a rapturous response from the audience, the band returned for an encore of their hits including the infectiously catchy ‘Bulletproof’.

This is the first of three performances La Roux will play in their native Britain as they prepare for their appearance at the iconic Coachella festival in the US in April. With this high profile stage appearance on the horizon, rumours are rife that the band’s long awaited second album is imminent.

Explaining the long time between album drinks, Jackson told NME: "I realised the album I wanted to make would require me being a much better musician than I was. There's been a lot of learning and it's been fun and I didn't want it to stop, basically.”
