Kirin J Callanan Announces Album and Lead Single

One of Australia's best underground artists and a big favourite to his contemporaries the world over, Kirin J Callinan is readying to release his debut album, Embracism on Friday June 28, 2013 in partnership with XL Recordings.

The album has the fingerprints of many big names all over it, being produced by Kim Moyes of The Presets at his studio in Sydney and mixed in the New York studio of Chris Taylor of Grizzly Bear.

Callinan has released the lead single and title track 'Embracism' as a download on the Siberia Records website. The song is an aggressive call to arms for everyone to embrace their physicality and test their limits. It's a twisted pop song displaying his signature wit, harsh sonic landscape and crooning voice - a truly unique sound from a very much looked-forward-to album.

Before the release of the album, Callinan is heading overseas for his debut UK and European shows including a Young Turks night, a Siberia Records show in Paris and then a full tour supporting Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti during June 2013.

Callinan has some announced tour dates (one of which has already sold out!) for the new album coming up this weekend.
