Kendrick Lamar Releases Remix Of 'Bitch Don't Kill My Vibe" With Jay-Z

Kendrick Lamar has released a new remix of his hit song, 'Bitch Don’t Kill My Vibe' with Jay-Z, after recently previewing it to audiences onstage at SXSW in Austin.

Lamar’s debut album, good kid, m.A.A.d city, landed him great critical and commercial acclaim, and this track is some of his first material since its release.

Both rappers bring out their best in this new track that not only features Jay-Z’s input, but new verses from Kendrick himself.

The album cover is simple but powerful – a still of Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant – an assertive reference to the combination of two greats, old and new, trading verses together in the one song.

The result is definitely worth a listen, both for those familiar with Lamar’s work and those who aren’t.

Kendrick reflects on his phenomenal rise to the top, while Jay does his usual gig about how he’s been on his “vibe for like twenty years straight”, but adds some interesting flow to his verse. All of this is delivered over dreamy hooks and punchy drums that make for some special production.
