Karen O will duet at Oscars ceremony with Vampire Weekend's Ezra Koenig

As they are behind us, in terms of time anyway, the big Oscars bash in LA will be taking place on their Sunday night in a few hours and joining Karen O to sing the award nominated track Moon Song will be Vampire Weekend's Ezra Koenig

Speaking to Rolling Stone Karen explained that the song was originally designed to be a duet anyway; “I was really excited at the prospect of getting to record it with a male vocalist. Ezra was super cool and open, he slipped into character like a champ and damn he’s got the goods.” As it has already been recorded you can listen to the new version below.

Karen's original composition, which was featured in the Spike Jonez film Her faces some stiff competition in the Best Original Song category though as it is up against Pharrell's Happy, U2's Ordinary Love and Idina Menzel'sLet it Go from the Disney movie Frozen. All of the aforementioned acts will be performing as well as Pink and Bette Midler
