Jake Bugg Talks New Album In 2013

Bugg has reportedly told Rolling Stone magazine he hopes to release a second LP by the end of this year.

According to NME, the British troubadour has finished recording tracks for the follow-up to his acclaimed eponymous debut and wants to keep up "momentum" between releases.

On working with renowned producer Rick Rubin, Bugg has said: "I'll take some ideas to him and he'll be like, 'Why don't you repeat that line?' As an artist you can get quite defensive about your work. But it never feels like Rick's imposing on that. He likes to try and get the best of an artist (NME)."

Bugg has also said that lyrical insights on the new record are substantially broader.

He told NME: "I'd never left Nottingham when I wrote those first songs, but I've travelled the world and hopefully people can relate to what I've gone through."
