Happy Mondays Cancel Tour Again

First it was rescheduled from May to June but now just like the lyrics of one their most popular songs, "You're twistin' my melon man". Well it was a happy monday until this news story hit us SLAM! BAM!! in the face.

With the following announcement from the tour promoter's Facebook page, Happy Mondays have cancelled their already rescheduled tour.

It is with regret that KRBD Entertainment announces that the Australian tour for Happy Mondays, which was previously rescheduled for Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Perth, has now been cancelled by the band's management citing medical issues with drummer Gary Whelan.

While details remain hazy, a mutually agreeable solution could not be found to rescue the tour. Happy Mondays management officially cancelled the tour over the weekend.

KRBD would like to apologise to all fans and ticket holders for any inconvenience caused. Patrons who purchased tickets via credit card will be automatically refunded and do not need to do take any action. Patrons who purchased tickets with cash at an outlet need to return their tickets to the point of purchase for a full refund.

Happy Mondays - Step On (as in, please Happy Mondays, if you're reading this, "step on" a plane and please come to Australia).
