Former Sepultura Members to Become the Metal White Stripes

Former Sepultura Members to Become the Metal White Stripes?

Former Sepultura members and brothers, Max and Iggor Cavalera, are set to become the "the metal version of the White Stripes", if James Murphy has anything to do with it.

The Guardian reports that the former LCD Soundsystem main man came on to produce the latest Cavalera Conspiricy EP and album, but convinced them to reduce from a quartet to a duo.

"To start with, he wants only the two of us in the studio, like a metal version of the White Stripes. He also wants nothing but the two of us on stage," Iggor told the Guardian.

"He basically asked me to get rid of the rest of the band. Cavalera Conspiracy has four members and two records. Murphy asked us to start from scratch as a duo. According to him, 'this will come to be the heaviest record of our careers'. He promised me that", he added.

With the stellar work Murphy has done not only with LCD Soundsystem, but also recently producing Arcade Fire, I'm sure the results will be at the very least interesting.
