Forbes release list of highest earning musicians in 2013, Madonna tops it

Over in the States Forbes magazine has published its annual list of the highest earning musicians of 2013 and the top spot does not go to Jay Z or Beyoncé, it belongs to Madonna instead and by a big margin. Madge managed to rake in $125 million, way ahead of her closest rival Lady Gaga with $80 million.

In fact, the list is rather surprising in general. Bon Jovi earned more than Justin Bieber and Taylor Swift? You bet they did. The New Jersey rockers, who are headed to Oz in just about a week or so, made $79 million versus the Biebs $58 million and Taylor's $55 million. They both made more than Jigga though, who only managed to bank $42 million, just $2 million more than Dr. Dre who really did not seem to do much of anything this year.
