As the music community gather to show their support, recently re-formed pop-punkers Fall Out Boy have pledged to donate all proceedings from their upcoming show in Boston to victims of the Boston Marathon bombings.

Messages of support and grief have poured out around the world in the wake of the tragedy.

In a statement, Fall Out Boy expressed their sympathies and well wishes to those involved and said they hope their songs can help in some way:

“As you guys all know we’ve been beyond excited for today to come and normally this would be a day of celebration with the release of our new album. in light of the events in Boston yesterday we’d like to send our thoughts and prayers to the victims and everyone affected. We’ll be donating the proceeds from our upcoming Boston show from the fall tour at Tsongas arena to the victims. Hopefully these songs will make some people feel better today. We are Americans, this affects us all.”

The upcoming show is scheduled for May 26 at Boston's House of Blues.

In what would have been a day for celebrating, the band's newest album Save Rock and Roll was officially released just a few hours before the horrific attack.
