David Bowie Named Best Dressed Briton in History

David Bowie has another honour to add to his long list of accolades: he’s now been named as the best dressed Briton, ever.

For all his years of lycra, mullets, shoulder pads, make-up, tights, and fashion hit 'n misses, we're loving that Bowie has topped this list, however it seems his competition wasn't too steep.

Bowie topped the list ahead of Queen Elizabeth I, Henry III, 17th century diarist Samuel Pepys, and Charles James Fox. Makes sense when you find out that the honour was determined by a poll in BBC History Magazine.

The top 10 Best Dressed Brits of All Time (according to 4,067 people who read BBC History Magazine):

David Bowie
Elizabeth I
Georgiana Cavendish, Duchess of Devonshire
George Brummell
Queen Alexandra
Anne Messel
Henry III
Ellen Terry
Charles James Fox
Samuel Pepys

Last week, a remix of Bowie's track 'Love Is Lost' was released by LCD Soundsystem’s James Murphy. Check it out on The Dwarf
