Cherry Bar Announces CherryRock 2015

In a bumper morning for music fans already salivating over the Groovin The Moo line-up, Cherry Bar has surprised almost everyone by announcing the return of CherryRock for 2015.

After the construction of a huge apartment block and the addition of the popular Pastuso restaurant exactly where the stage has always sat, many thought it was the death knell for the beloved Sunday festival especially after the cancellation of its sister event CherryFest in November.

Not so, says owner/booker/cowboy James Young- “The new residents can just suck it up, but we did have concerns with Pastuso because they are a very popular Peruvian restaurant open 7 days and nights a week. Thankfully David Parker and the guys are really good guys and we came to an ingenious solution. They host their annual staff party on Sunday 10 May and Cherry gives them all free tickets to come to CherryRock015. Bang! Deal done. Turn everything up!”

CherryRock’s 2015 incarnation includes monoliths of stoner rock Red Fang, New Zealanders Beastwars, and Cherry Bar’s Act Of The Year Child, with more acts to be added over the next few weeks.

Keeping to its original formula, CherryRock promises two stages, 13 bands and no clashes. Early Bird Tix $74 from Cherry Bar
