Beyonce Covered Amy Winehouse Without Permission

Amy Winehouse's father says he wasn't asked for permission before pop queen Beyonce covered Amy's 'Back To Black' for upcoming film The Great Gatsby.

Mitch Winehouse told Britain's Mail Online that the film's producers only forked out money after the song was recorded.

He said: "I wasn’t asked for my permission if they could record it".

"They have got to pay for the privilege, which is what they are doing.

"I can’t tell you how much it is but it’s a lot of money."

Amy Winehouse died of a drug overdose in 2011, aged 27.

Her father is currently working on a second posthumous album with producer Mark Ronson, which will feature Amy's early works.

The Great Gatsby, featuring Beyonce's cover of 'Back To Black', is set for release next month.
