Arctic Monkeys, David Bowie and Foals Nominated for Mercury Prize 'Album of the Year'

David Bowie, Arctic Monkeys, James Blake, Laura Marling, and Foals are among the list of nominees for this year’s Mercury Prize.

The 12 'Albums Of The Year' nominees were chosen by an independent judging panel. Arctic Monkeys' AM is nominated, as is Bowie’s The Next Day, James Blake's 'Overgrown', Holy Fire by Foals, Settle by Disclosure, and Laura Marling's Once I Was An Eagle.

Arctic Monkeys, Laura Marling, David Bowie, Foals, Villagers and James Blake have all been nominated for a Mercury previously.
