Andre 3000 Album Rumoured to Drop in 2014

Earlier today it was rumoured that Outkast's Andre 3000 will be releasing a new album in 2014.

The rumour began circulating the web after an exuberant tweet by BET’s (Black Entertainment Television) Stephen Hill:

"Me: hey what’s up? You got the movie coming, right?
Andre 3000: yeah…and I got a solo album coming top of the year.
Me: *droptofloor*"

A representative of Andre 3000 was quick to quash the rumour, telling Billboard magazine: "Regarding reports of a specific plan to release an album in early 2014. There is no official confirmation on that report."

However, that doesn't exactly read as a complete denial either.

Andre's last official album was in 2006 as one half of Outkast. Since that time he has collaborated with numerous artists, including Frank Ocean on last year's Channel Orange.

Outkast's other half Big Boi on the the other hand has released two solo albums in this time.

Andre hasn't been completely been dragging his heels however. He will be starring in his first major acting role as Jimi Hendrix in the upcoming biopic All Is By My Side.

For those who need a reminder on the magic Mr. 3000 can produce, here's his classic tune 'Roses'.
