AC/DC appear ready to rock the studio, with Stevie Young filling in for his Uncle Malcolm

With equipment belonging to members of AC/DC touching down in Vancouver, as well as Angus Young and Brian Johnson themselves, the prospect of new material does indeed seem to be becoming a reality, as the band promised when announcing that Malcolm Young would be taking leave from the band due to ill health. And according to reports on Twitter, the band have their replacement guitarist set as well, in the form of the Young brothers nephew Stevie Young.

If the reports are correct, it will not be the first time that Stevie has filled in for his uncle. He did so back in 1988 during the veteran band's ‘Blow Up Your Video' tour when Malcolm was straightening out some alcohol related issues.

Stevie is the son of the Steve Young, the eldest of the Young brothers, and currently plays in the blues trio Blue Murda alongside his own son Angus and former Starfighters guitarist Pat Hambly.

While in Canada, AC/DC will be working at the Warehouse Studio with producer Brendan O’Brien and hopefully coming up with what would be the 16th studio album the band has created.
