West Coast Blues 'n' Roots Fremantle Cousin!

The West Coast Blues 'n' Roots Festival now has a cousin – the Fremantle Fringe Festival.

Sunset Events, the City of Fremantle and the Fremantle Chamber of Commerce are proud to announce the West Coast Blues 'n' Roots Fringe Festival, set to complement the main festival on the weekend of Saturday, March 31 and Sunday, April 1.

With its rich artistic tradition, the port city is set to truly come alive to the sound of music all weekend: from the streets to the buses and the Fremantle Harbour. Supporting the fine musical talent that continues to pour out of Western Australia, musical performances will feature outside both the Fremantle Train Station and Gino's in the town centre from 12noon-6pm on both days of the festival.

Be greeted by the aural delights of such rising and established talents as: Jack and Mike Ceriani, Sam Smith, Mike Develta, Craig Sinclair, Greg Bowles, John Burn, James Thompson, Dom Diblasio, Chook, Ivan Zar, Christoff and Camikaze.

"It is a sign of the growing maturity and popularity of this event that we are now able to expand the entertainment beyond the Esplanade Park to clearly make it a totally Fremantle occasion," festival promoter David Chitty said.

And Fremantle Harbour can't escape the blues! Such renowned talents as Pete Stone, musicians from the West Coast Blues Club, Mo Wilson & The Drivers, Double Entendre, Toby, Rick Steele, Simon Kelly Band, Saritah, Zarm and The Dave Mann Collective will board the Cicerello's Prawn Trawler Stage to deliver some of WA's fi nest sounds between 1.15-7pm daily.
