Augie March Take Out AMP




Capping off what is quickly becoming a huge year for Melbourne rock outfit Augie March, the band picked up the prestigious AMP (Australian Music Prize) in Sydney last night and announced they had signed a North American deal for the release of Moo, You Bloody Choir, with the Jive/ Zomba label.

  

The AMP is judged by a panel made up of respected industry personnel across media, retail and established artists and the award presented to Augie March last night, recognises the musical excellence and outstanding creativity of their critically acclaimed 3rd studio album Moo, You Bloody Choir.

  

The band, who picked up $25,000 in cash prize money along with the prize, made the announcement that they would be joining an impressive stable of artists including Justin Timberlake, Pink and Tool when they release their album in the US through label giant, Jive/ Zomba later this year.

  

Augie March are currently touring the country on their Cold Acre Tour. ‘The Cold Acre' is the second single lifted off their platinum selling and critically acclaimed album Moo, You Bloody
