Jagwar Ma, Courtney Barnett and Pond all rate highly on NME end of year best lists

Both Jagwar Ma and Courtney Barnett continue to fly the flag high for Australia abroad as both placed well in the NME Best Albums and Best Tracks of 2013 lists.

Jagwar Ma’s Howlin grabbed the 16 spot on the iconic music mags Best Albums list
while Courtney's double EP A Sea Of Split Peas placed at 38. She fared even better in the Best Tracks list though, meriting the #6 spot for 'Avant Gardener' while Jagwar Ma took the #23 spot for ‘The Throw’.

Pond also scored big on that countdown by grabbing the spot below Barnett for ‘Xanman’ as well as the following rather glowing praise for the track; “If Jesus Christ Superstar had been made entirely on prescription downers, it might’ve sounded like Pond’s psych-prog masterpiece.” That's almost as good as being endorsed as worth listening to by the ever grumpy and cynical Noel Gallagher, which is exactly what happened for Jagwar Ma earlier this year!
