Arctic Monkey's AM named NME album of the year, Daft Punk's Get Lucky best track




Arctic Monkeys album 'AM has been named as NME's Best Album of 2013, beating out Kayne West's 'Yeesuz' and Queens of the Stone Age's 'Like Clockwork' which were named second and third respectively.

AM is the fifth studio album the Sheffield lads have released and since its debut in September it has spawned the singles 'R U Mine?', 'Why'd You Only Call Me When You're High?' and 'Do I Wanna Know', the latter also being named the third best track of the year.

Best track honours went to Daft Punk's 'Get Lucky' with Arcade Fire's 'Reflektor' just behind it.
