Daft Punk Smash Spotify Records

Random Access Memories, the headline-stealing new album from French electronica group Daft Punk, has taken out a series of records on music streaming service Spotify.

The album grabbed the record for most American streams in a debut week, while lead single 'Get Lucky' set the record for most streams in one day in the US and UK - with 27 million.

A note issued by Spotify said Random Access Memories will probably end up having the biggest opening week of any album since the service began in 2008.

Most of the records were stolen from Mumford & Sons’ Babel, which got eight million streams in October 2012.

Given that Daft Punk's 'Get Lucky' has been done to death over the past week, let's mix it up with this flashback to their old hit 'Around The World'.
