Weekend Vines Festival Cancelled

The Weekend Vines festival, which was to take place in the New South Wales town of Wee Waa, has been cancelled.

The event at the Seplin Estate Winery, was to feature Daft Punk's album launch along with local and international DJs and licensed food and beverages on Friday May 17.

The following is a statement on the festival's Facebook page:

“**BAD NEWS FLASH**
We regret to inform everyone that due to unforeseen circumstances outside our control, we are forced to cancel the Weekend Vines festival in Wee Waa.
We have worked extremely hard on this project for the last 3 weeks but we were told one thing and then another a number of times. In light of this new information we have no choice but to cancel. We hung our balls out there, but unfortunately on this occasion it just wasn’t meant to be.
We are extremely sorry for all those that made plans to come to the festival and for those that have bought tickets. Ticket holders will be notified shortly and refunds issued.”

The organisers further explain that it was a licensing issue, and the slow processing times of local boards, that led to the decision.

Meanwhile, you can pre-order Random Access Memories on CD & vinyl, and listen to their official release of 'Get Lucky' below.
