All Tomorrow’s Shoeys kicks off tonight in Hobart

All Tomorrow’s Shoeys, a three day music festival at the Brisbane Hotel, starts tonight. All Tomorrow’s Shoeys is the brainchild of Melbourne’s Wil Wagner (The Smith Street Band) and Hobart’s Lincoln le Fevre (Ride the Tiger, Lincoln le Fevre and the Insiders), with both picking a handful of bands to play at the three day event. The festival will feature some of the best names in punk and alternative from around the county, ranging from acoustic to punk rock. Check out the videos below for what you can expect at the Brisbane this weekend.

For the uninitiated, seeing someone shoey is a fairly horrific sight. In short, a shoey is the act of skolling your beverage of choice out of a shoe (preferably your own). For a comprehensive guide to doing a shoey, pick up a copy of Warp. There will be many a sticky shoe come Monday.

Doors open at 8pm on Friday, 7pm on Saturday and 4pm on Sunday. Shows are 18+. Tickets for Friday and Saturday are $20, $15 for Sunday. Tickets at the door.
