Thom Yorke Interviewed By 30 Rock Star

30 Rock alumn Alec Baldwin interviewed Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke for his WNYC radio show "Here's the Thing".

The hour-long interview broaches the topics of Yorke's knack for using computers to make music, his desire to take a break after Atoms for Peace end their tour, as well as his and Baldwin's political activism backgrounds.

According to Pitchfork Media, Yorke explained how working with Atoms for Peace brought about a different creative process:"You're not struggling around in the dark for a way into a piece of music. You're figuring out how to strip it down to its raw essentials, especially if something's been written on a computer and then you have to humanly learn how to play it...but it's a lot more fun and a lot more relaxed if you're not trying to write, you know, which is what also, all the time what we're trying to do with Radiohead."

Atoms for Peace also comprises Red Hit Chili Peppers bassist Flea, producer Nigel Godrich, drummer Joey Waronker (Beck, R.E.M.) and Mauro Refosco on percussion. They've been working together since 2009.
