Triple J's One Night Stand 2013 Line Up and date Revealed

Holla. It’s getting to that time of the year again, that glorious time when Triple J launch out into the wilderness and take their caravan of hip and happening Australian musicians out into regional Australia to put on a free concert that is simultaneously broadcast live for all to hear. This year the concert has just been announced as taking place on Saturday April 13, somewhere across this sunburnt country.

Previous years have seen the likes of Silverchair, Hilltop Hoods, Eskimo Joe, Birds Of Tokyo, The Jezabels, Missy Higgins, Matt Corby and Miami Horror rock the remote casbah at various points around this great southern land.

Of course you may remember last year when the Dalby One Night Stand was washed out due to some intense Queensland rain halfway through 360's set.

This meant that up to 15 000 waterlogged fans missed out on seeing The Temper Trap bring their epic stage show to the Dalby Showgrounds. 360 summed up the moment best with the immortal show stopping rhyme "Mother Nature I f***in hate ya".

Now I strongly suspect that such a meteorological anomaly won't occur again this year, as no doubt Richard Kingsmill has been paying the appropriate tributes to the festival gods in order to stave off such an incident reoccurring.

With that in mind the four headline acts for the 2013 One Night Stand that will take place on Saturday April 13 have just been announced today on Triple J, courtesy of The Doctor, Lindsay Macdougall who revealed that taking to the stage, in an as yet undisclosed location will be Triple J darlings Ball Park Music, Flume, The Rubens and Seth Sentry.

On top of this cream of the Unearthed crop there will no doubt be a local Unearthed Act added to the bill, shortly after the location is announced, which should be any day now.

Now if that stellar all-Australian lineup isn't enough for you then hold onto your hoverboards, because there's more. In a first for the J's, those at the concert will be treated to a second screen, set up specifically to display live backstage video, access all areas and bring you a peek behind the green curtain and front row for any shenanigans. As well as this audio/video implementation there will also be another first for Triple J taking place, as the whole concert will be simulcast on ABC Radio, televised on ABC2 and available for streaming on the interwebs.

With that many platform options if you can't make the gig then no matter where you are on the planet you can still fully immerse yourself in it, Swordfish style.

So with all these good things happening very soon, i think it's time to now to have a situationally appropriate sing-a-long, so click on the link below and get involved.
