HORSELL COMMON have announced the release of SING THE NEWS – the second single from their acclaimed debut album ‘The Rescue’, along with a national tour to celebrate.

The latest single by HORSELL COMMON represents exactly why this band is one of the most revered acts on the Aussie circuit – honest, sincere and melodic rock devoid of pretension and full of the hook-laden energy that has defined their song writing. Taken from their debut album ‘The Rescue’, SING THE NEWS is the band’s most radio friendly track to date – soft in parts, catchy as hell and with the kind of master build up to excite even the coldest fans. But that is not to say that the track is anywhere close to the cookie-cutter pop so many of their musical peers have fallen for. HORSELL COMMON has written a song that redefines how inspiring Aussie rock can really be.

SING THE NEWS is full of quirks and has it’s own positive energy that shines through with a subtlety that only true emotion can convey. The lyrics portray the importance of remaining optimistic about bad news, singing it to the world to convey the real beauty in life’s ups and downs. It’s the same lyrical aspect that is the reason the band appeals to people of all walks of life. The same happy yet realistic outlook that has made the band connect so strongly with those that know and love what HORSELL COMMON is about.

The accompanying film clip depicts the band’s two members (guitarist/vocalist Mark Stewart and bass player Luke Cripps) in a full blown chase of each other, playing up to the band’s fun side despite the serious nature of the song. With BMX bike riding, parkour and full throttle chases throughout Melbourne’s famous alleyways and streets, the clip has more stunts (and stunt doubles) than your average kung-fu blockbuster. It is safe to say that just as no one who hears HORSELL COMMON will forget them, no one will be forgetting this amazing film clip any time soon, either.

HORSELL COMMON will once again be taking their stunning live show on the road - this time in support of SING THE NEWS. After selling-out shows on their album tour earlier this year, make sure you get in quick for your chance to see them at their best.
