Written at 16, recorded at 17 “The Day The Earth Stood Still” is the debut single from Take 21. Members, Chris Bancroft (Guitar/ Vocals), Michael Holmes (Vocals/ Guitar), Andrew Sax (drums) and Jordan Bergman (Bass/Vocals) formed in 2005 for their school’s, St Pauls Brisbane, annual battle of the bands competition. Their influences are drawn from the Indie/Rock genre. Take 21 recently finished this recording at Blackbox Studios, with Jeff Lovejoy (Powderfinger, Regurgitator and Resin Dogs) and triple A.R.I.A. award winning producer, Magoo. The E.P. was then mastered at Sterling Studios in Los Angeles, by Justin Shturtz (Fall Out Boy, My Chemical Romance).
With 3 of the 4 members all taking the same subjects at UQ so they can be on the same schedule to study around their music, Take 21 are applying all efforts to hone their craft. 2007 saw Take 21 open for Fall Out Boy at the Brisbane Convention Centre and tour nationally with The Used for their Lies for Liars promotional tour. The band also played the Soundwave Festival with The Offspring and Incubus and they have been included on the Soundwave Compilation album. Take 21 have arranged for a USA tour mid year.
Take this opportunity to be the first to know about Take 21. The first single from the forthcoming EP “Nothing is Real.”; recently voted #2 on the JJJ National Unearthed.com by listeners.
