Surfacing July 5th 2008, Hell City Glamours debut album is a defining moment for one of Australia’s hardest working independent bands, finding the time between tours is half the reason it’s taken so long to get this thing done.

Tracked at Sing Sing South Studios (Melbourne) and Lord Street Studios (Sydney) by producer/engineer/mixing machine Matt Voigt (Kiss, Devilrock Four, Black Eyed Peas) over a long fortnight and a longer weekend, then sent to Alan Douches (Dillinger Escape Plan, Hot Water Music, Clutch) at West West Side Mastering in New York the end result is 13 songs of pure Australian Rock and Roll.

From the ballsy punk ‘n’ roll of One Night Only and Josephine to the lightly countrified bluesy stomp of songs like Flying Away and Worst Kinda Man, this is in no way a one dimensional record. It drips with the passion of four guys making music for the love of it, their veins injected with the influence of decades of AC/DC, Black Crowes, Hellacopters, Thin Lizzy, Rancid, Chuck Berry and a myriad of others in between.

Now with the hard part in the bag, Hell City Glamours are back to what they love to do, playing shows. They’ll be covering the east coast and Adelaide over June and July with a series of headline shows at some of their favourite haunts…
