The Frontier Touring Company is thrilled to announce Simple Plan’s first Australian tour in over three years. Simple Plan will perform for fans in Perth, Newcastle, Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne. Special guests at all shows will be The Getaway Plan and Short Stack.

Simple Plan’s fierce and unapologetic sound has enraptured a loyal fan base worldwide, with Australian fans some of the most vocal. Simple Plan slammed their way into the music industry via the multi-platinum selling No Pads, No Helmets…Just Balls which spawned an array of hit singles (‘I’d Do Anything’, ‘Perfect’ and ‘I’m Just A Kid’), shooting the band to prominence around the world.

They followed up their success with the hyperactive Still Not Getting Any… The release of singles ‘Welcome To My Life’, ‘Shut Up’ and ‘Untitled’ propelled the band to a new level, as they sold millions of copies across the globe. After supporting Green Day across Australia and selling out their own subsequent tour Down Under, Simple Plan cemented themselves as one of Australia’s most welcomed bands.

Simple Plan will return to Australia in support of their most defining album to date (Simple Plan – out now through Warner). The band challenged themselves to break the boundaries, and they did just that. Featuring ‘When I’m Gone’ and their latest single ‘Your Love Is A Lie’, the album continues to entice fans with a fresh new sound, showcasing the band’s unbridled energy. Contagious hook-filled melodies and intriguing lyrics proved that experimenting with their winning formula was well worth the risk.

Off the back of their sold out ‘Where The City Meets The Sea’ tour, The Getaway Plan are returning to the stage to deliver what promises to be a stellar performance. The Melbourne-based foursome’s cross pollination of genres has positioned them as one of the fastest growing acts in the country. The hugely successful single ‘Where The City Meets The Sea’ spearheaded The Getaway Plan into household-name status, which the band topped off with countless tours alongside My Chemical Romance, Kisschasy and The Used. Performing tracks from their ARIA top 20 album Other Voices, Other Rooms, you can expect to be wowed by The Getaway Plan.

If you haven’t yet heard of Short Stack, it is definitely time that we brought you up to speed. With over half a million plays on My Space and more than a quarter of a million on You Tube, the eccentric threesome are fast emerging as one of Australia’s hottest new bands. Their self-filmed Short Stack T.V has received 250,000 hits, driving the video for “Drop Dead Gorgeous” to be featured on the rotation lists of MTV, Channel V and Video Hits. Forming a global fan base with their intoxicating blend of indie rock, pop and punk, Short Stack have already validated their success by supporting the likes of Good Charlotte, The Click 5, McFly and hellogoodbye around the country.

The history of Simple Plan in Australia is straightforward: they sell out shows. With the reinforcements of The Getaway Plan and Short Stack, these shows will tread the same path.
