Just back from representing Australia at the ATP vs Pitchfork Festival in the UK, Melbourne three-piece and darlings of music lovers the world over EVEN announce an Australian tour to launch ‘Sister Rock’ the second single from its internationally released and locally lauded fifth album EVEN out now on Rubber/EMI. Inspired by having English fans and critics at their feet EVEN have been mobilised into grabbing some talented friends and hitting the Aussie road hard…
And as if to give real meaning to ‘Sister Rock’ EVEN will be joined in the Combi Van by that mad trio of female punk rockers The SPAZZYS who have just returned from Los Angeles where they recorded their second album Dumb Is Forever with producer Charles Fisher (Savage Garden, Hoodoo Gurus & more) and are now back home with a new single, new management and the same kick arse attitude that has seen them perform over 800-plus killer live shows together, sell over 15 000 copies of Aloha! Go Bananas and even appear in Playstation 2’s ‘Singstar.’
Add to this Sydney songstress Tracy Redhead whose debut LP Walking Home A Different Way is out 21 June and you’ve got a combination of sweet sounds and sweethearts destined to satisfy the brothers and sisters of Australia from Launceston through Hepburn Springs to Maroochydore via Canberra to Fremantle back to Richmond and lots, lots more in-between.
Get ready to join EVEN, The SPAZZYS and Tracy Redhead and to join in the chorus, “Come on Sister Rock, come on Sister Roll. Come on Sister, you’ve got to be my, be my soul…”
