'Spray on Pants' is the second single from Kisschasy’s latest album Hymns for the Nonbeliever.
The song itself reminds me a lot of their first single 'Opinions Won't Keep You Awake At Night' with a strong bass line throughout the verses with a similar singing pattern; which left me at times trying to figure out which song was which. Apart from that, I found the song to be clever and catchy.
The song is about the so called “emo” subculture in Australia and how kids are being sucked into it and giving up everything they used to,changing the way they dress and act just to be cool.
There are also three live tracks on the single which all flow on to make for a nice taste what Kisschasy sound like live The first live track is 'The Perfect Way To Meet' which is one of Kisschasy’s more rocky, punky type tracks. It is full of feeling, sounds raw and is full of energy. I like it!
The second live track is 'Ugly Birds In A Beautiful Cage' which is a slower song with just as much feeling as the first. When the guitar and drums come in towards the end you can hear the raw sound like in 'The Perfect Way To Meet', which adds to it.
The final song is the first single 'Opinions Won't Keep You Awake At Night'. In this version you can hear the song as it is meant to be heard. It’s a great listen
The single is good and it comes with good extra tracks like most singles but if you like this song and their other songs, buying the album would be the smart thing to do.
This is more for the person who doesn’t like their other songs or wants some live tracks to hear.
