The Exploders

Melbourne two-piece outfit The Exploders hail all the way from Lake Bolac however are an emerging Aussie rock band heavily steeped in sixties Britpop. There sophomore album Easy and the Sun was recorded in Texas by Stuart Sikes (Cat Power and Modest Mouse) and in Melbourne with Dave Parkin (Snowman and Bob Evans).

The first track to be released is I Can’t Dance which is ironically a danceable indie-pop track. The opening riff is very catchy, easily recognizable and a clear crowd pleaser. TJ’s vocal is very old school rock star and it’s fantastic, with addictive hooks and rhythms it will be a hit for the youthful duo. Overall their sound is 60’s/70’s rock ‘n’ roll mixed with dirty blues, highly influenced by iconic bands the Beatles and the Kinks.

Easy and the Sun is released from 4th August through Rubber Records. The Exploders will be touring the country throughout August, playing album launches in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Geelong.
