The third single to be released from Bondi rockers Cog’s sophomore album Sharing Space is one of deep seated paranoia…or is it? Are you interested?

The track delves into conspiracy theory territory. The eye in the pyramid, the lists of suspected ne’er-do-wells, corporations, big business, Governments and so forth. You are being watched, conform to the masses, don’t speak your mind, blend in with the crowd and don’t stand out…Read the warning signs! It really gives you something to think about. I have simplified it greatly and I apologise for that.

Are You Interested? is more than a little repetitive (Yes, they’re making lists!) and contains one shocker of a bad line ("And they’re weeding out the baddies like the flour that we sift") but despite those minor flaws I still love the song. I will say that it did have to grow on me though. It wasn’t an instant success.

After What If and Bird of Feather, this single is the weakest so far (I really don’t mean that as an insult either). That said I can’t imagine a more fitting single than this one from the remainder of the album (a great second album but half the beast their first album is) especially in this day and age. Maybe this single will be released for purchase and come with Look Who’s Laughing as a B-side, hint, hint.
