Supported by Baro and Master Wolf aka Skinz

Aussie hip hop quartet, The Thundamentals have attracted a massive fan base since their launch into the Australian music scene a few years ago. With trumpets and tie dye in tow, they have ventured out of their home turf of the Blue Mountains to embark on The Elephant in the Room Tour, which covers metro and regional areas across the country. So far, most of their shows have sold out, and Brisbane was no exception; a second show was added to accommodate the masses of Queenslanders determined to see the them live.

After making it past the line up at the front door, we managed to catch support acts Baro and Master Wolf aka Skinz, who had the perfect vibes to ready the crowd for the Thundamental boys.

By the time the boys hit the stage, The Zoo was jam packed with peace loving homies. Thier hit 'Got Love' had the audience "taking fists and making peace signs with it", it is obvious that these guys are not the rebellious type of hip hop artists.

These lads have an amazing storytelling ability; evident on tracks like 'Quit Your Job' and "Smiles Don't Lie.'. Their lyrics ooze equality, harmony, love, and positivity, and their delivery is light yet meaningful.

In 2012, The Thundamentals covered Matt Corby's song 'Brother' for Triple J Like a Version, which became an instant hit with Aussie listeners. The highly successful song came in at number three on the Tiple J Hottest 100 in 2011 after its initial release by Matt Corby. The Thundamentals cover version of the same song came in at number 49 on the Hottest 100 the following year. Its popularity has made it a staple song in the Thundamentals performance; the Brissie crowd were ecstatic to hear it at The Zoo on Friday night!

The Elephant In The Room Tour marks the first anniversary of the release of the Thundamentals third album, So We Remember. The success of the album saw three tracks on the 2014 Triple J Hottest 100. These quiet and humble achievers have proven you that you can be rock star cool and still be a nice guy. The popularity of peace, love and happiness is on the rise, and these dudes are at the forefront of the movement.
