The Dwarf Recommends: The Black Harrys, Breve

Today we're concerned with promoting truly hard workers - the guys who will do free shit in the hope of attaining paid work later. We love a slow-cooking success story, and thus, The Black Harrys:

I was lucky enough to catch these guys busking their unique brand of groovy calypso-esque indie rock at the St Kilda night markets a few weeks ago. I’ve been following them on Facebook since; they’ve been playing some gigs around town and even scored a spot on the busking stage at Bluesfest. Everything you hear is self-fashioned and they're planning on releasing an EP later this year.


Breve are a local Melbourne band who have just dropped the first track off their upcoming debut EP. Frankly, in existing Breve prove they're smart workers: They've just recently had their Pozible campaign successfully funded to master their EP and press vinyl copies. Effectively, they made a deal with their fans instead of a record company and it worked! Check out their sweet ambient psychadelia:
