Splendour Wrap-Up: Phantogram, Kelis, First Aid Kit, Tune-Yards

Splendour In The Grass 2014's lineup has dropped, and there are some secondary and tertiary crackers we at The Dwarf are really excited about. Without further ado:

Phantogram

Phantogram are two hailing from Saratoga Springs, New York so you know they're riding in on their own scene. 'Fall In Love', their lead-off single, has been touted as cold blistery synth-rock and their newest LP voices boasts more of the same.

Kelis

Kelis has been dropping scholarly soul-bombs for over a decade now, so much so that we find it difficult to keep up with her release roster. Forget 'Milkshake' - as singularly great as it was - there are greater things to see and hear.

First Aid Kit

First Aid Kit are sweet, solemn, brutally honest Swedish sisters with a unique brand of almost Gaelic-folk. They seem to have honed their craft through cultural awareness and so you'll appreciate the time they take to tell their stories.

Tune-Yards

To finish, Tune-Yards' stuff is energetic and exciting and fascinating. Take a little of Kimbra and Vampire Weekend, throw in a dash of ska, and you have a veritable pot of quirk.
