Leading folk singer-songwriter Suzanne Vega who brought us unforgettable songs such as ‘Luka’, ‘Tom’s Diner’, ‘Marlene On The Wall’, ‘Caramel’, ‘Solitude Standing’, ‘Woman On The Tier’ will be performing intimate shows on her national tour including dates in Perth, Cairns, Melbourne and Sydney. Suzanne Vega will be accompanied by Irish guitarist Gerry Leonard who has collaborated with the likes of David Bowie and Cyndi Lauper. Virtuoso fiddler and multi-instrumentalist, Seth Lakeman will be a special guest of Suzanne Vega in select cities.

Suzanne Vega emerged as a leading figure of the folk-music revival of the early 1980s when, accompanying herself on acoustic guitar, she sang what has been labelled contemporary folk or neo-folk songs of her own creation in Greenwich Village clubs. Since the release of her self-titled, critically acclaimed 1985 debut album, she has given sold-out concerts and collaborated with Leonard Cohen, The Black Keys, Jerry Garcia, Soul Rebels Brass Band to name a few whilst her music has been sampled or covered by the likes of Tupac Shakur, REM, Nikki D, Will Smith, Destiny’s Child, Ludacris and Lil’ Kim. Suzanne Vega samples rapper 50 Cent’s ‘Candy Shop’ in her latest album set for release next year (Feb 14)
