WIN a double passes to see DAVEY LANE!

The Dwarf declares Davey Lane debut album "Atonally Young is one of the year’s best! Get on it!".

Since debuting his band live at Brisbane's Bigsound Conference in October last year it's been a busy ten months and a steady incline for Davey Lane. He released his debut EP, 'The Good Borne Of Bad Tymes', to rave reviews, which featured the song 'You're The Cops, I'm The Crime'.

It introduced the world to Davey's psych-electro sound, stepping away from the guitar driven retro-rock of his previous band, The Pictures. If you have been living under a rock, you would instantly recognise that Davey is listed in numerous best Australian Guitarist Lists, with his work with the iconic Australian band, You Am I.

After a successful crowdfunding campaign on Pozible, Davey headed into the studio in May with producer Tony Buchen. The first single 'Komarov' raised a few eyebrows with it's glam space rock Bowiesque sounds.

Komarov is based on the true story of the doomed spaceflight of Vladimir Komarov in 1967. Davey says, "I've always had a nerdy fascination with the Soviet space program, since I was maybe 6 years old or something, and the story of Komarov's Soyuz 1 mission is a particularly interesting, if not sad, chapter in its history. The lyric writing process is usually like drawing blood from a stone for me but this one wrote itself."

Davey Lane's hot new band comprises of Davey Lane (You Am I) on lead guitar and vocal Brett "Wolfie" Wolfenden on drums; Zac Crozier on bass and James Fleming on keyboards.
